In the Beginning God
In the beginning, a story unfolds,
In simple words, a tale retold.
While men have written volumes wide,
God’s few words the beauty and truth confide.
Men have taxed their minds to find,
Profound descriptions of the divine,
Yet the inspired writer states,
In one sentence, truth relates:
“In the beginning was the Word,
with God and God is the Word”
Who can grasp this grand expanse?
Withdraw from time’s relentless dance.
Imagine now the void so vast,
Where the Universe would spring at last.
No time, no space, no matter found,
No Nature’s laws to weave around.
Nothing but God and His Word so pure,
To call into existence, to ensure what is true,
The visible and unseen too,
From nothingness, the cosmos grew.
Here lies the start of all we see,
The dawn of grand reality.
Gen 1:1 “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth”
John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
