In an ever-increasing complex and busy world,
Is it not nice that church does not have to be one of those things.

Our Story and Mission

Following the way of our Christ

Jesus is the centre of our Faith

Community is the centre of our Life

Reconciliation is the centre of our Work

At the core of Anabaptism is that Jesus is the ultimate expression of God’s revelation. Jesus not only made it possible for us to be saved, through the cross, but revealed his will for us through his teachings and the way he lived. As a Christian (A follower of Christ) we are dedicated to all that He has revealed in the scriptures. Empowered by God’s radical love, we strive to embody Christ’s teachings by fostering community, engaging in active peacemaking, and pursuing reconciliation with God, others, and all creation. In keeping with the tradition of the radical reformation, we draw inspiration and encouragement from each other not only to worship Jesus, but to follow in his ways.

As a new church with a rich history*, some people may not know about our beliefs or practices, or have some misconceptions about who they think we are.
We encourage you to explore our beliefs and practices.

Our church models the early church movement. In fact, some may describe us as part of the “Simple Church” movement.

Acts 2:42
“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”

Our mission is quite simple:  Follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.
We do this by loving God and showing his love to one another.

Worship with Us

The heart of worship is to love God and to love others.  Therefore anything that we include as part of our worship, must support those principles, rather than distract us from them.

Jesus said:  “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4: 24

Our desire is to return to the essence of what Jesus
and His disciples started.

  We call this Simple Church.

Please Join us.
Getting together around food and conversation is a good way to build relationships.
Included are times of sharing, prayer, bible study, and simple worship,
and you have what suspiciously could be called “church”.

(How radical is that?)

Church
Cur church fellowship meets at Deak's Cafe at the Combined Christian Centre.

A Message from Our Pastor

Thankyou for visiting our site,

I extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to our faith community. At Northside Contemporary Anabaptist Church, we are bound by our shared love for God and our commitment to serving one another and the wider community.

Our church is what some may call “Simple Church”, that is because we seek to get back to basics and follow the principles of the church Jesus and his disciples modelled in the New Testament.

We are a new church with a long rich history. We invite you to join us on this spiritual journey and to worship God with us, by following the way Jesus instructed us how to live. Together, let us deepen our relationship with God, uplift one another, and make a positive impact in the world.

May God’s blessings be with you always.

With love and faith,

David Champness
(Pastor)
