Our Soul’s Rebirth

Oh, you must be born anew,
Not just a change, but a holy start,
From earth’s dust to heaven’s dew,
A transformation of one’s heart.
The Scriptures scream, clear and bright,
“Born of God,” a child to be,
Partaker of the purest light,
In divine grace and completely free.

Some may say, “A child, so pure,
Needs no second birth to strive,”
But their innocence alone won’t ensure
The soul’s eternal life to thrive.
When their innocence is stripped away,
The Spirit’s call will reach them within,
Revealing nature’s dark display,
And convicting the heart of its eternal sin.

As the child stands at life’s first gate,
And feels the Spirit’s gentle nudge,
A choice must seal its fate,
To embrace repentance, or to trudge
On paths that lead to loss and pain,
Where sins begin to weigh and bind,
Till only grace can cleanse the stain,
And free the struggling and seeking blind.

No soul needs to wander lost and torn,
For God’s intent is always clear:
To bring the weary, trodden and forlorn,
To a new life, free from doubt and fear.
The old shall pass, the new shall rise,
In Christ, we’re His creation made anew,
With youthful hearts and heaven’s eyes,
In joy, eternal, pure, and what’s true.

Oh, seek no fountains far away,
For youth reborn in some wondrous streams,
As the blood of Christ is here today,
To cleanse, to heal, to light your dreams.
A drop of this, the soul shall taste,
And find in Him, the Father’s ageless grace.
Born again, with sin erased,
We stand as heirs in His embrace.
