The Condition of Fallen Man
When man did fall, corruption spread,
The human heart, where sin is fed.
No need to delve into our fatal flaws,
We are doomed by not obeying God’s law.
Humanity lost as human sin’s swells,
Eternal life with God is withheld.
Yet hope remains, a light so bright,
In Jesus’ blood, salvation’s might.
By Christ alone, perfection bore,
The human condition can be restored.
Our hearts uplifted, in God we praise,
God’s own Son, our debt He paid.
God sent His Son, His gift so grand,
To break the curse by His own hand.
Redeemed, we stand, in grace anew,
Saved by the One, who is forever true.
Now we experience eternal life, not death,
Not by our actions, but by Christ’s shibboleth.
Praise be to God, for His great plan,
To lift the fallen state of mortal man.
